What Exactly Is Aluminum Free Deodorant?

The quick answer is Farmpit, but let’s start with the type of deodorant that contains aluminum.   An example of an deodorant that contains aluminum is your standard name brand antiperspirant. An antiperspirant deodorant is a deodorant that utilizes aluminum chlorohydrate to prevent you from sweating.  The aluminum literally clogs up the pores in your underarms to stop the sweat from leaving your body. Dry underarms sound wonderful, but at what cost? Your epidermis is porous and anything you put on it is likely to be absorbed into the skin.  That means it is absorbed into your body. Recent studies have theorized that the aluminum compounds in antiperspirants can cause breast cancer and Alzheimer's disease. Why take the chance? Thankfully we have a safe alternative.

So, what exactly is aluminum free deodorant?  Aluminum free deodorants are safe alternatives to the big brands.  These deodorants are often labeled as “natural” or “organic”. These deodorants typically use formulations that contain no aluminum, no propylene, no parabens, and no glycol.  Instead of aluminum, natural deodorants use alternative natural ingredients to keep you smelling fresh. Some ingredients that are used in natural deodorants could be beeswax, coconut oil, arrowroot powder, cornstarch, and essential oils.  These ingredients can be absorbed into the body with no harmful repercussions. They also do not clog your pores so your skin can breathe naturally.

We here at Farmpit take it one step above natural.  We use only high quality USDA certified food safe organic ingredients in our formulation.  One of our pillars is that “You wouldn’t put anything on ya you wouldn’t put in ya, would ya?”.  That’s right. We believe that if you put something on your skin, you should be able to orally ingest it as well.  With an ingredient list that contains only organic cornstarch, organic coconut oil, organic beeswax, essential oils and organic rosemary extract, it really doesn’t get any safer or simpler.  Keep your stench under control and keep your body safe with Farmpit’s more organiker deodorant.

Aluminium Free

You wouldn’t wear aluminum socks, would you? So why put it in your armpits? Plus, does that stuff cause cancer? JR doesn’t think that’s very cool either way. The only aluminum he likes has domestic beer inside of it.

Paraben Free

Parabens are a group of commonly used preservatives in cosmetic products, including in deodorants. Parabens have been linked to causing infertility in men. JR definitely does not like that one bit. Let’s keep your little guys swimming hard and your pits smelling good.

Polypropylene Free

A flammable gaseous hydrocarbon C3H6 obtained by cracking petroleum hydrocarbons and used chiefly in organic synthesis. Would you put that in your pits?

Baking Soda Free

Baking Soda in deodorant is commonly known to cause rashes, itchy/dry pits, discoloration, and can even cause breakouts. Basically the alkaline properties of baking soda will have a chemical reaction with your naturally acidic skin bits. Over time this damages the skin and leaves you susceptible to sores and infections. Just more stuff that has no business being on your body
